Lancet Discredited
Boy, all you knuckleheads who hang your hat on the Lancet study estimating 100,000 Iraqi civilians dead must be feeling pretty stupid right about now.
That is, you would if you had any shame.

Why should we?
I'd say that all you knuckleheads who hang your hat hoping desperately that the Lancet study estimating 100,000 Iraqi civilians dead is wrong ought to be feeling pretty stupid about now.
But actually, I've been thinking that if you had any sense of shame, you'd have been feeling pretty stupid all along.

No, actually, we found this blog through Tom Tomorrow's lucid debunking of the Dumb Right Wing Rationalization of the Day. As he noted, the Lancet letter was a) obviously part of a biased interorganizational spat and b) directed towards three studies that had not a damn thing to go with the Iraqi study. So, no, I feel more confident than ever that right-wing bloggers are wingnuts who would rather grasp at straws and attack this study by the company it keeps, rather than deal with its merits.
Have a nice day.
