I'd hate to be the President that has to clean up after this crew in power now.
But if I were, I sure wouldn't be passing the buck backwards nine months into my term.

Never mind that the last commander there asked for more troops than he got in the Afghanistan 'surge', or that they have already sent strong signals they'll deny additional troops to McChrystal. It's all George Bush's fault.

Oh, did Gibbs forget to mention the benchmarks are congressionally mandated?
ReplyDeleteThey did the same for Iraq years ago. As a result, we're still wasting effort measuring, reporting, compiling, formatting, interpreting, and publishing statistics that have since become meaningless.
