Obama and the lipstick comment
Having watched Obama deliver the gaffe, I've got two things to say:
1.) There's no way in Hell it was accidental.
2.) There's no way in Hell that it's a big deal.

UPDATE: There's also no way in hell that the "fish" part of the comment should be construed as a misogynist remark. That's just ridiculous.

What I'm seeing is not that the McCain side is playing it up because it specifically is a big deal, but because it makes Obama look bad, which keeps him on the defensive.
The "bigger deal" of it is that the Left will defend the behavior of the worst sexist pigs as long as they're a consistent vote for abortion. Look at Packwood.

this lipstick issue has made me realize that McCain has become quite the politician since he got his party's nomination... he has proven time and again that his strategy for winning is based on personal attacks and distracting people from the main issues
