Patraeus for CENTCOM?
Blackfive nominates LTG Petraeus for the post.
A superb choice. I'd go back with you, General.

Jason,
As I emailed Castle Aaargh's Armorer some weeks ago;
Reading the great VDH takedown of Rick’s “Fiasco: The American Adventure in Iraq" in the new Policy Review http://www.hoover.org/publications/policyreview/4884441.html,
when I come across this:
"We are supposed to deplore the reassignment of the gifted Iraqi veteran General David Petraeus to the “relative backwater” of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas — but, in fact, Petraeus was rewarded with a much-needed respite and now may well be scheduled to return to Iraq to replace General Casey as commander of all ground forces there."
