Nancy Pelosi is becoming a national disgrace
...not that it's a surprise to me. But after saying the war in Afghanistan is over, and even denying that we're in a war in Iraq, Pelosi now thinks the 9/11 Commission demonstrated that there is, currently, in 2006, no Al Qaeda in Iraq (which may be news to the members of Al Qaeda in Iraq).

Hat tip: Hot Air

Comments:
Just a few months ago I stood in the same mosque where Zarqawi was holed up at the start of the Iraq war. I'm really sure that I was in Iraq and he was al Queda. I'm also pretty damned sure that even though AQ is coming in a very distant second in the ball kicking contest, they are still in the game.

I suppose it is easier to ignore our enemies than deal with them for Pelosi. This is what passes leadership?

Well, if you don't do anything, you can't be blamed for any failures. And you still have the opportunity to claim credit for any sucesses that come along.

!!!...

Two heartbeats from the presidency.

I keep looking for Obi Wan Kenobi to be standing behind her at the press conferences, mouthing, "these are not the Al Qaida linked terrorists you are looking for..."

I read the article you linked to - you've misrepresented Pelosi's statement. She indicates only that she disagrees with Bush's assertion that sectarian violence in Iraq is largely fomented by al Qaeda.

No, I didn't. She asserted the 9/11 commission, which she doesn't understand, just as I portrayed. I didn't misrepresent this dingbat one iota.
