When you see a disgruntled vet in a TV political ad

I saw this ad on Fox News this evening. Didn't like it - these guys are no longer activity duty. The majority of troops that disagree with them don't get that kind of air play - probably because a lot of them are still active and aren't allowed to speak out publicly on politics....
That's one of the reasons I wonder about this. If this guy contacted a blogger to post a correction or amplification, I couldn't find it.

If he left Iraq recently, did he retire?
