I got a little misty-eyed reading this story. Thank God for men like the ones quoted in the article. Thank God for all of the Americans through the years who have raised their right hands, taken the oath, and then done their duties to the very best of their abilities.

Wow, that's a lot of soldiers. What is even more remarkable is that this is after a year in Iraq and was done stateside, meaning that these guys didn't get whatever bonus tax free. A nice counterargument to those who want to claim that the rentention rate is driven only by the dollars that are being thrown at our guys.
