L.A. Times columnist Joel Stein doesn't support the troops
He says exactly that in his most recent column. It's not as bad as everyone says it is, but it's still pretty bad. In fact, if I didn't know better, I would have thought it was written by a rightwinger parodying an addle-brained, muddle-headed well-meaning pinkie.

He's a pretty good sport, though, and went on the Hugh Hewitt show to be interviewed about it.

Joel's problem is, it seems to me, that he's not all that bright. I didn't listen to the audio, but read the transcript. Is it just me, or does Stein genuinely come across like a moderately dull 15 year old? He certainly seems to possess the fund of information of a high school sophomore.
Splash, out

P.S.: THIS sophomoric bit of trash writing passes muster at the New Yorker?

They've gone downhill.

Comments:
Frankly, I disagree with some of the criticism of Stein. He's just saying the contrapositive of what I have.
I think he's a coward and a traitor for not supporting our nation's eventual victory, but at least he's more honest about his opposition than Cindy Sheehan and her ilk.

I agree with your assessment of Stein. He seems very ill-informed to me, and not very concerned about it.
