"Safety and welfare of the children" update
A couple of people wrote in wanting to see a link to the story from a mainstream news outlet, saying "it's probably not the whole story."

Here's the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The bottom line:

Apparently, it's the whole story. Actually, I can't imagine a scenario in which the principal's actions can be justified for the sake of "the safety and welfare of the children." Can anyone build that case?

I've learned that you can never underestimate or discount the stupidity of kneejerk educrats. The "Dumbest case scenario" is proven over and over and over again.

Splash, out
