Arms cache found at the Iraqi embassy in London
MSNBC reports that the new ambassador from Iraq has opened one of the safes in the once abandoned Iraqi embassy in London and what did he find?

Four machine guns.
Several Uzis.
10 handguns with silencers.
Boxes of live and spent ammunition.
Bugging devices.
Cattle prods.

I will grant a legitimate interest in providing for the point-blank defense of the embassy against, say, a riot. The defense would have to hold out long enough so the British police could come and disperse the crowd.

I don't know the layout of the terrain surrounding the embassy, but if it's in an urban area, the machine guns would probably not be suitable for the defense of the embassy, unless you just didn't give a rat's ass about civilian lives for two miles or more in any direction.

The Uzis are also grossly inappropriate for the defense of a fixed position, especially near noncombatants. They might be appropriate, though, for bodyguards of a VIP on the move, for short-range punch. But they're horribly indescriminate weapons. A short-barrelled shotgun would be better, as the lethal range is quite short. But I can understand the Uzis, at least.

The handguns I can also understand. But there is no defensive reason whatsoever for the silencers. The silencers have only one purpose: To facilitate the assassination and murder of UK residents.

But how did the Iraqi embassy get silencers?

Answer: Because the ambassador requested them or had someone go purchase them. Why? Can we still find the embassy staff?

And why would the embassy have bugging equipment?

Answer: To use on UK residents, of course.

And why would the Iraqi embassy keep cattle prods on hand?

No, it couldn't possibly be to terrorize embassy staff - all of whom should now be suspects in the disappearance or murder of any Iraqi in the UK for the last 15 years - or Iraqi residents in the UK, could it?

Of course, Saddam wasn't a threat, right?

Splash, out

Good Morning, I find reading blog articles like yours most rewarding at times. It enhances the experiences of life in many cases.

Being a physician, amongst other things I often have a soft spot for blogs related to article writing and /or sites that are built around article writing type items.

Once again, thank you, and I will look for your posts again in the future. :-)

I seem to be a dying breed on the internet. I still feel that article writing and article marketing are in their infancy - there is much more benefit to be derived from article writing. None of my web sites have suffered from the alleged, duplicate content filter or penalty - very much the opposite. The Article Marketing blog is on course to become the number one source of information on article writing and marketing.
