A military historian serving as a PAO? What a great idea. He should be able to help keep things in perspective for those overly (and often wrongly)excitable journalists. I've often thought that if Victor Davis Hanson was the CENTCOM PAO or even the DoD PAO we could sweep a lot of utter nonsense off the press corps plate pretty quickly and move on into reality. Personally, I would not allow journalists a single word in any media until they had passed a basic world history test.
