More Journalism "Ethics"
Kudos to the Independent's Robert Fisk for scooping honest reporters everywhere by breaking his promise not to reveal the identity of the Iraqi judge responsible for trying Saddam Hussein.

Although the information is totally useless to everyone in the United States and the UK, I'm sure every Ba'athist and Al Qaeda scumbag in all of Iraq appreciates the Independent's openness.

Score one for pragmatic journalism. News they can use.

Now the terrorists can target the judge with their lethal cocktail of extortion and bribery.

Ok, maybe they can keep the judge's location a secret. No problem. All they have to do is go after his children. Or his wife. Or his sister. Or his parents. Or all of the above.

BAM. The infant Iraqi justice system is strangled in the cradle.

And Robert Fisk made it all possible.

Thank you, Robert Fisk.

Thank you, editors of The Independent.

I hope your little scoop was worth it.

I hope your little scoop was worth the deaths of innocent people.

I hope your little scoop was worth the corruption of the court in the most important case in the whole world.

Because chances are excellent that that's whats going to happen.

I hope you can live with yourselves. Because I couldn't, if I were you.

Splash, out

Jason
