Al Gore, Then and Now
Nevertheless, Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.

--Al Gore, 23 September, 2002

President Bush "has exposed Americans abroad and Americans in every town and city to a greater danger of attacks by terrorists because of his arrogance, willfulness and bungling at stirring up hornets' nests that pose no threat whatsoever to us,"

--Al Gore, 26 May 2004

Comments:
Even without referring back to his earlier words, the current one makes no sense. President Bush has made things more dangerous by annoying people who are no danger to us?
If they were not a danger, how are they MORE dangerous?
If they are more dangerous, then they were already a danger, right?

I suppose all those groups that bombed us here and abroad were no danger before, just peace-loving normal people who enjoyed seeing bodies and pieces of bodies and helped ensure a good supply. But NOW they are a danger because the current administration is trying to lessen their activity and they're upset.

Bah!
