Curiouser and Curiouser
Democratic strategist Tony Coelho is taking plausible deniability and executive puppyhood to new heights:
"The candidate should not be involved in the resolving of disputes or the creation of his message."
Well, ok, true--Kerry should not be resolving internecine disputes between members of his campaign staff. That's what his chief of staff is for.
But the candidate shouldn't be involved in the creation of his message?
Will a Democratic president not be involved in the creation of his proposed budget? Will he not be involved in the formation of grand strategy? Will he not be involved in the setting of administrative and budgetary priorities?
No wonder Democrats lose elections.
The candidate should be DRIVING the creation of his message.
This is the most important thing a candidate should be doing. If he does NOTHING else, he should be doing this.
The more I learn about John Kerry and the people that surround him, the more convinced I become that this man is wholly unsuited to the exercise of executive power.
